Visionary and innovator of Solidiwood & Solidi
Matti Kukkonen, mechanical engineer and wood industry technician. His broad experience comprises production management roles in the large-scale sawmill industry and, above all, working as an entrepreneur. His industrial business produced solid wood blanks for industry, as well as solid wood floorboards and strip parquet for builders.
A thesis (a “dissertation”) setting out the background, R&D and results of the Solidi development project, which has proved to be the life’s work of 83-year-old Matti, has already taken shape as the manuscript of a forthcoming book.

Heikki Kukkonen, MSc (Tech.) in Software Business, served at Innofactor Oyj as Vice President, Digital Experience until the end of 2022.
He has some 20 years of broad experience in the industry and an in-depth knowledge of digital technologies and their application.

Teijo Ruuth, mechanical design engineer. Over 45 years of broad experience in the design and delivery of machinery and production lines for various industries. He has worked as a designer, R&D engineer, and design and project manager at Raute Oyj and Makron Oy, manufacturers of presses and other woodworking machinery, among others, and subsequently as an independent entrepreneur at Fertema Oy and Constru Oy, the companies he founded. He has an in-depth knowledge of Solidiwood process technology.
